PARKES™ Tools: What They Are and How They Work.
The SSG photograph (middle image) shows the uniform, open structure of SSG™ tooth coatings on typical PARKES™ wheels. Compare it to the photo on the right showing the crude, irregular structure of standard “crushed grit” wheel coatings. The controlled wide-open structure provides generous cutting clearance between the SSG™ teeth, allowing them to easily penetrate and cut off small cool chips of rubber without loading. SSG™ teeth are also manufactured so that the teeth operate at a uniform cutting radius, resulting in a rubber surface that is minutely roughened and free of coarse grooves, ridges, or closing cuts.
